Little Chalfont Primary School is very fortunate to have the assistance of so many of our parents who wish to come into school to help with a wide variety of activities, including guided reading, library, cooking, knitting, crafts and on educational day trips.
Each teacher sends out the request for volunteers to their class parents (via the Class Dojo app) and organises the rota for parent helpers for each activity over the school year or for a specific term. Teachers understand that parents may not be able to make a commitment for helping every week. New parent helpers will need a DBS check and this is arranged through Mrs Botwright, our School Bursar, in the office. Please note that, by law, all helpers need to be DBS checked to enable them to assist in school and on trips.
The school greatly appreciates the help and commitment from all of our parent helpers in enabling the school to provide a wide variety of activities for our pupils and for value they add to the school. We appreciate that not every parent is in a position to be able to assist in school hours and we know that we have the support of those parents as well, through the encouragement and help they give to their children for their learning at school and at home, and at our many meetings and events.
Thank you all.
