School Travel Plan

New for 2023-24

 

The School Council are working with Mr Morey this year to reinvigorate the School Travel Plan and make the journey to school a safer and healthier option. The School Council have chosen the following initiatives to implement:

 

  • The WOW Walk to School Challenge
  • The Parent Parking Pledge
  • Promotion of car sharing
  • Walking buses
  • Road safety presentations
  • Cycle competitions
  • Working with Bucks CC to install a crossing point on Oakington Avenue

 

They are working in coordination with the Sustainable Travel Team at Bucks County Council to gain the Bronze level accreditation for the School Travel Plan.

Road Safety Advice for Children

WOW - The Walk to School Challenge

WOW is Living Streets' flagship walk to school challenge. WOW is a pupil-led initiative where children self-report how they get to school every day using the interactive WOW Travel Tracker. If they travel sustainably (walk, cycle or scoot) once a week for a month, they get rewarded with a badge.
