-
Improved foundational writing skills, including consistent letter formation, increased writing speed and greater accuracy with common exception and high-frequency words, with high phonics screening results translating into written application.
-
Develop more sophisticated and enthusiastic writers by fostering progression in sentence complexity, applying writing skills across the curriculum, reducing punctuation errors and cultivating a love of writing for diverse purposes with visible inclusivity.
-
-
Reading - To foster a love of reading and ensure all pupils become confident, fluent and comprehending readers, equipped with the skills to access the full curriculum and beyond.
-
Develop confident and fluent readers by encouraging re-reading of familiar texts, using punctuation for expression and consistently planning repeated and shared reading opportunities.
