EY & Key Stage One

Children enjoy weekly music lessons following the scheme of learning provided by Charanga. Children develop an understanding of key musical concepts using engaging resources and following a small step learning sequence.

Key Stage Two

We invest in the Whole Class Practical Musicianship (WCPM) provision provided by Bucks Music Trust. All children participate in weekly lessons learning how to play a different instrument each year: Y3 - drums, Y4 - violin, Y5 - clarinet, Y6 - trombone. The learning culminates with a performance to the parent community in the summer term.
