At LCPS, we use Jigsaw PSHE to deliver Personal, Social, Health Education (PSHE) together with emotional literacy, social skills and spiritual development in a comprehensive scheme of learning.
Weekly lessons are delivered as part of six half-termly puzzles/themes:
The whole school tackles the same theme at once allowing for shared assemblies and end products where the community comes together to celebrate their learning. With each annual revisit, the themes are explored in more detail and with richer content to reflect the increasing maturity of the children.

At LCPS, we use Discovery RE to deliver the Religious Education elements of our curriculum. The scheme of learning has been carefully designed to incorporate spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development, British Values and mindfulness throughout all year groups from Nursery to Year 6.
Each class are accompanied on their learning journey by a member of the Owl Crew whose names mean wisdom/intelligence in a range of languages.
Discovery RE is based on a philosophy of enquiry-based learning where children can develop their critical thinking skills. They are encourages to empathise with different people and their religious beliefs.
