Circle of Security Parenting

At LCPS, we know that children benefit when teachers and parents work together. We know that parenting is a complex and challenging role which is why we offer the Circle of Security Parenting programme to all families. Mrs West is a trained facilitator who delivers the sessions twice a year to LCPS parents.

We understand that there are times when all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Circle of Security Parenting aims to help parents make sense of what behaviour might be communicating.

The twilight sessions cover the following objectives:

• understand your child's emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs
• support your child's ability to successfully manage emotions
• enhance the development of your child's self-esteem
• honour your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure
